InstructorsSteven W. Rick Steve is a senior economist for Credit Union National Association. He conducts economic research, teaches at various credit union schools and conferences, and writes articles for CUNA publications. Steve facilitates strategic planning sessions for credit union boards and has authored a textbook on asset-liability management. Steve is also a faculty member of the economics department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Juli Lynch Juli is president of Turning Pointe Consulting and brings to her clients a passion for experiences that guide organizations, teams, and individuals toward realization of their potential. For the past 15 years, Juli has facilitated change processes for a long list of organizations from Fortune 500 to small businesses. Her expertise is in the area of team and leadership development with a special emphasis on the dynamics of organizational culture. Juli uses a mixture of both outdoor adventure and experiential classroom techniques in order to promote full engagement by participants. Mike Schenk Mike Schenk is vice president of economics and statistics for Credit Union National Association. He conducts economic and financial research and provides support for CUNA Governmental Affairs and Public Relations efforts. His analyses regularly appear in publications such as CUNA's Credit Union Magazine and CU360 Newsletter. Mike has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining CUNA in 1992, he was the director of research for Financial Research Corporation, where he conducted economic analyses, competitor evaluations, and product-line planning for mutual fund companies. Chris Ransom Chris of Turning Pointe Consulting has more than 22 years of experience in designing, delivering, and facilitating programs in high performance teamwork, leadership development, creative problem-solving, managing change, and optimal performance. He embraces experiential learning techniques where participants are challenged to bring their business experiences to focus on active, meaningful simulations that provide a refreshingly different approach to learning. Chris has worked with a wide range of organizations such as Lands' End, Kimberly-Clark, Credit Union National Association, Trek Bicycle, and the University of Wisconsin to national and international organizations such as DuPont, Motorola, Sears, and General Motors. Dr. Chuck Pulvino, Ph.D. Charles is an emeritus professor in the Department of Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is widely published and is the co-author of 15 books including Dynamic Counseling, A Practical Guide to Interviewing, and Restoring Harmony: Conflict Management in School Settings. In addition, Chuck is regularly engaged as a consultant to community, business, and educational institutions. He has conducted over 300 seminars and workshops nationally and internationally on financial and school counseling, communications, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, training, and team building. Lois Kitsch Lois Kitsch is currently the national program manager for REAL Solutions with the National Credit Union Foundation. As the director of field projects with the Filene Research Institute, Lois piloted the REAL Solutions program in three leagues which implemented and tested new business models designed to serve new target markets, including young adults, immigrants, and modest income households. Earlier in her career, Lois managed credit union development projects for the World Council of Credit Unions. She has actively promoted credit union development in almost 40 countries. Bill Klewin Bill is vice president and staff director of the Lending Lab in the Lending Services Enterprise for CUNA Mutual Group. He joined CUNA Mutual Group in 1986 as assistant counsel specializing in consumer legislation and consumer lending. Before joining CUNA Mutual Group, Bill maintained a private practice, concentrating on commercial and business law. Bill is a regular contributor to Credit Union Magazine on lending and regulatory compliance and is a frequent speaker at credit union conferences. Bill is a member of both the Wisconsin and American Bar Associations. Vince Wagner Vince is a product expert for CUNA Mutual Group's Credit Union Protection Risk Management Department. Vince started his career with CUNA Mutual Group in 1985 as a risk management specialist servicing seven states in the Midwest portion of the United States. During Vince's tenure with CUNA Mutual Group, he was a regional manager, senior underwriter and product expert. Prior to joining credit union protection risk management, Vince spent 15 years in law enforcement. During this time frame, he spent 10 years as a board of director for his credit union, and was chairman for four years.
